Daytrippers got more than they bargained for when they witnessed whales feeding off a beach in California. At least one, perhaps two, humpback whales repeatedly lunged out of the water when feeding on a ‘bait ball’ - a tightly-packed group of sardines - for more than an hour at San Luis Obispo near Los Angeles.
