Poison Dart Frog — JT Johnson
Now appearing on the banner: Strawberry poison dart frog in all it’s glorious aposematic coloration…(Ok…I am trying to impress the science geeks. :-)
The strawberry poison dart frog (also called the blue-jeans) is the coolest little dude I have ever seen. I loved trying to track them down and got pretty muddy capturing this shot. He was about the size of Tylenol - but with teenie-tiny legs. So, not exactly a large subject to find in the jungle, but that colour sure helps! (Hand held with a 100m macro, f4, 1/250 ISO 6400, kneeling in mud.)
