National Dog Day

Today is National Dog Day, a day to celebrate dogs and encourage people seeking canine companionship to adopt from their local shelters or rescue groups. Since 2004, National Dog Day has helped save the lives of over 1 million dogs.

In addition to educating people about dog adoption, National Dog Day encourages everyone, even those without dogs, to donate $5 to their local shelter. To learn more about adopting or donating, visit SPCA International.
